Extension Services
ALTERNATIVE LEARNING EQUIVALENCY AND ACCREDITATION PROGRAM
The extension service committee conducts lecture sessions to ALEAP learners in preparation for the national equivalency test given by the Department of Education annually. The Social Orientation and Community Involvement Program (SOCIP) Office, through Mr. Percival Parungao, provides the topics to be discussed for its entire duration. Likewise, the faculty members administer pretest and posttest activities to determine the learners’ understanding on the topics discussed.
MATH23-1X EXIT EXAM REVIEW (MAPUA-INTRAMUROS)
The objective of the review program is to help students pass the exit exam. This activity is directed to restore what the students learned in their previous math courses. Likewise, the activity is designed to give them an indication of the type of exam that will be given to them, so they can personally assess themselves as to their readiness for the said exam.
The review covers the different math courses such as Algebra, Trigonometry, Analytic Geometry, Solid Mensuration, and Calculus. Through this program, the organizers have high hopes that these students will get a better chance of passing the exam. The review sessions are regularly conducted starting the 3rd week of every term.
MATH FINAL EXAM REVIEW PROGRAM (MAPUA-MAKATI)
Every 10th week of every quarter, the extension service committee of the department conducts a review program for the students enrolled in math courses. The objective of the program is to help these students prepare for their final exam. The students attend the review to further improve their skills in solving mathematical and verbal problems.
The faculty members actively participate in the program and act as lecturers on the topics covered in every math course. They utilize past departmental exam as review materials. They share some techniques in analyzing and solving problems to the students.
