Statistics Quiz Bee for Freshmen
28 September 2018. The Statistics Quiz Bee for Freshmen is an annual search for freshmen students who show skills and mastery in Statistics. This Quiz Bee covers topics in Combinatorics, Probability, Descriptive and Inferential Statistics. The Mathematics Department headed by Dr. Mylen Aala-Capuno renews this annual competition to highlight the students’ skills in this subject which is needed for the licensure examination, research and problem solving in the real world through data analytics. Previous winners of this annual quiz bee include board topnotchers like Engr. Rimson Junio and Engr. Oonre Zak Khalil Advincula-Go for their respective licensure programs.
This year, June Lorenz E. Capin, an EcE student is declared the champion followed by Earl John G. Salamat, finishing first runner-up and Prince Lennard A. Cejar, second runner-up. All of them took home a Medal and a cash prizes.
