On a sunny afternoon of the 4th of October, 2020, the officers of the Mathematical Society of Mapua along with some of the faculty members of the Mathematics Department have gathered to hold its third General Orientation for the applicants of the organization, the Batch Alpha.

     Similar to a typical orientation program, the event formally started with an opening prayer and the national anthem followed by warm welcoming remarks from the organization’s president for the tenure, Earl John Salamat. Afterward, the Masters of Ceremony, Earl John Acabado and Chilen Jere Angeli Balid, welcomed the Batch Alpha to the event as well as recognized the faculty members who were present at the time (Mrs. Renilda Layno, Engr. Rosario Exconde, Engr. Ma. Christina Valerio, Mr. Robert Domingo, Ms. Rosario Lazaro, Engr. Dan Andrew Magcuyao, Mr. Floro Deogracias Llacuna, Mr. Juanito Bautista, Engr. Reynaldo Lanuza and the Department Chairman Dr. Mylen Aala-Capuno, ). The earnest participation of the members of the faculty of the Mathematics Department helped make the applicants feel comfortable and at ease.

      With the help of the team behind the event, the Batch Alpha left the event well-equipped with everything that they need to know about the Mathematical Society of Mapua and what they will have to expect from the organization. The event ended with a total of 89 attendees, counting in the officers, applicants, and the members of the faculty, the event successfully ended with the help of the enthusiastic participation of the attendees to the games as well as the interaction with the emcees in the duration of the event.
